The reasons you will need to research all of these things before you actually start a practical production are because you will need all of these things to not only make a good advert but you will need them to make an advert in general.
Technical Equipment
For this advert, the technical equipment we will require are footballs, cones, goals and practical playing surface. In order to obtain these equipment we will ask the school to borrow their equipment and also to use the schools astro-turf as that is a practical playing surface for our advert and as it is in school it will not take long to get there and as we are doing it in lesson time, then it is not likely to be busy, if it is in use it will only be half of it so we could use the other half for our shooting.
Potential filming locations
We are going to film our advert in our schools leisure centre's AstroTurf. We will get permission to use the site if our teacher allows us to use it (which she does) and as the teachers know we go to this school we tell them we need it for our filming the will allow us to use the AstroTurf. As it is located in our school we will just have to walk there which will not take long. The two problems we may face is that people may be using it already but as it is so big we can use half of it and they will not even be in the shot. The other maybe that it rains which may be a problem but we can just stop filming and do it when it's not raining but if we haven't filmed anything yet we may decide as a group to do the advert inside.
Actors and actresses
We are going to be using two people from our filming group to perform for advert and as they are doing this for their own benefit we will not need to give them a payment for their performance. I believe they will do a good job as they are both good footballers and as the drills they will be doing are pretty basic they should be able to perform them to a high standard.
Costumes and props
The costumes will are going to be wearing are football kits / or some sort of activity wear. We will bring the ball and sports drink, but we will acquire the location, goals and cones from the school. If we do not finish it in one if our lessons (which is our aim to finish it I'm one to allow more editing time) then we will just hand the schools equipment back and collect it next lesson. All of the equipment either us or the school will already have and the only thing we need to buy is two bottles of Lucozade sport and a bottle of water.
