AS2:Target Audience Research- Questionnaire Results

According to my survey results the majority of people who took my survey are male, therefore our answers gathered may seem biased in that way, but in the long run, this worked out better for us as our target audience was mostly male as on an average, more men will do strenuous activities or sport / workout activities.

The people who commented most on my survey was people aged 17 to 21,  therefore our answers gathered may seem biased in that way, but in the long run, this worked out better for us as our target audience was people that age, as they are more likely to do sports as when people get older they will generally have work and instead of going to do sports to socialise they will go out for meals / drinks for example.
According to my resent survey results, the most popular colour was blue, this is a benefit to us as the Lucozade sport's main colour on the bottle is normally a form of blue. Which will benefit us as they we have even more reason to include the colour blue, which also means we can continue with the sports drink series.

Most of the people who took my survey was generally active, which is a good thing as they generally are the people who are going to buy our product. Also we their answers will benefit us the most as they are actually going to be buying our product so we could aim it at them more.

According to my survey, most of the participants did do sports at least once a week. This shows that they most likely will be buying a sports drink of some sort, which means they could be potential customers if not already. This benefits my group as these answers are from people who will actually be buying our product. But the improvement i could of included is that i should of added a 'no times' option as not everyone does sports.

The results of my survey suggest that 6 out of 8 participants have a sorts drink at least once a week and some even five or more times a week. This is a benefit to us as it shows that our product is popular to the public. Also we are asking relevant people as they are the ones who are going to buy our product, for example it would be as relevant going to a retirement home and asking the occupants what they think, as they most likely are not going to buy our product.

According to my survey, most people would spend on average around £1.01 - £1.50, this benefits us as it gives us a suitable price range in what we can sell our product at, and also how much we should spend in making it, taking into account how much profit we want to make on each bottle. The improvement i could of asked was how much exactly they would have like to spend to it could be narrowed down even more, helping us find a realistic price which the product would still be bought out.

According to this survey result, it suggest that most of the participants would drink Lucozade just before, during or just after a physical activity. This will help us in our advert as then we know what activities to include in our advert and also when we want the actors / actresses have some of the drink based on when our answers say they drink it. I could of improved the question by asking 'when do you drink sports drinks' in general, not just Lucozade as they may have not said as they don't drink Lucozade but in fact Powerade for example.

According to most people in my survey, they all listened to up-beat / high-tempoed music to try and give the worker enthusiasm and motivation. This question will help us in our advert as then we know what type of music we could include in our advert to try and 'motivate' the customer in buying our product instead of another brands such as Powerade.

According to our survey, most people would have preferred the container to be a bottle with a sports cap. This question is a huge factor to our finished product as it helped us design our bottle for what we wanted it to look like once we was read to sell it to the public.

Overall i feel that my survey was a success as most of the people who answered these questions was already customers and other potential customers so their ideas / thoughts are of huge importance to us as a business.
